Save Our Pianos exists to revive, maintain, and celebrate public pianos in airports, train stations, libraries, and community spaces. Many public pianos fall into disrepair, go untuned for years, or become unplayable — despite being loved by travelers, children, seniors, and spontaneous musicians.
"To restore public pianos to playable condition and keep them alive for everyone to enjoy."
We advocate for maintenance, partner with venues, fund tune-ups, and build community around accessible music.
Public pianos are magical — when they work. But across the country, they suffer from broken keys, sticky actions, wear, water damage, and neglect.
We exist because: "The world deserves public pianos that actually play."
We take a systematic approach:
Pianos in public spaces, open to everyone.
Music that supports mental health and connection.
Regular tuning, repair, and thoughtful placement.
Artists, neighbors, and partners making music together.
We work with airports, transit authorities, libraries, parks departments, and cultural organizations to ensure public pianos receive the care they deserve.
